Last night was great.

I met up with my friend Michael at 8pm, and we drove around in his truck for about an hour and a half just looking at new places and talking. At about 9:30, we started to look for a clear area to watch the meteor shower. After driving down a really long country road for about 25 minutes, we saw a little cut off. He shrugged and turned, and we ended up in a big dirt area with a perfect clear view of the sky. Despite being afraid of being attacked by wild animals out in the middle of nowhere, we got out of the truck and looked at the stars. It was BEAUTIFUL.

The moon was very bright, but we could still see a majority of the stars. The meteor shower was gorgeous as well. It was the first one he ever saw, so he was amazed. It’s kind of funny to have this big redneck Texan going “OH MY GOSH DID YOU SEE THAT? OOHH THAT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL!” in a deep country voice while jumping up and down, haha. 

I needed last night, so much. I feel 100% better.
